3 Tricks Confident Women Rely on to Handle Anything

handle anything

Life is full of struggles and challenges – that much, we ALL know.

For every happy and gratifying moment, there is usually a stressful or disruptive one waiting right around the corner, to derail all the positivity and security in your life.

But what if it didn’t have to be this way?

What if you could grab the world by its horns whenever it threw something unexpected at you, pull it close to your face and scream “I am brave, fearless, bold and strong!

Wouldn’t that change the game?!

As we grow up, we all know that we have to expect life’s little challenges. Sometimes they are worse than we predicted. Other times they push us to the very brink of our sanity. But, always – one way or another – we survive.

With a silent but powerful “I’ve got this!” most women know that they can work through anything that comes their way.

But what happens when something comes along that’s SO overwhelming, you just can’t see a way out?

There has never been a time in the entire history of the world, when people were not faced with issues, concerns and disappointments.

What separates the go-getters from the whiners though, is a sense of inner strength and resolution.

People with a strong sense of confidence (and a solid belief in their own abilities) know that they can handle anything that comes their way.

People with a strong sense of confidence (and a solid belief in their own abilities) know that they can handle anything that comes their way.

There are SO many ways to handle negative or difficult situations.

But for now, here are…

Top 3 Tricks That Confident Women Rely on to Handle Anything!

1. Breath ...

I know, this sounds ridiculously simple, but it works… every time!

When you feel yourself getting frazzled, or you can sense the tension, anxiety and stress mounting, take a moment to find a quiet place. Then… breathe.

Deep breaths can give your brain (and your body) the oxygen they crave when stressed. But they can also giving you a moment to regroup, collect your thoughts and get on with whatever it is that you have to do.

(And if you’re the scientific fact-loving type, then check out this article which explains exactly how a deep breath can change your mind)

Confident people know that breathing is the first step to calming the chaos in your head. It also puts you in the best frame of mind to move forward.

Which leads us to tip # 2…

handle anything

2. One Step at a Time ...

Again, pretty obvious right? But often, people (especially women) get so caught up in the big picture (or the mountain they think they need to climb), that they forget to look at what’s right in front of them… the very first step.

Take a few minutes to really think it through. (This should actually be easier once you’ve taken those ‘mind changing’ deep breaths.)

Then start by breaking your issue down into smaller chunks. Decide on the outcome you’d like to achieve and figure out the first few steps to start working towards it.

No one stands at the base of a mountain, stares at the top and says, ‘Piece of cake!’

They put their head down, brace themselves and take the first brave step.  Every step after that is usually the same as the first, but each one gets them one step closer to their goal.

Confident people never try to conquer their mountain from the outset. They just take it one step at a time until they inevitably get to the top.

Inaction is the enemy of achievement. But taking steps forward (no matter how small) will always help to increase your confidence, and get you that much closer to your goal.

At which time, you should…

3. Reflect ...

Women often tend to forget just how unique, powerful, intelligent and resilient they are.

They’re always looking for ways to help, support, encourage, do and be more. Usually though, this is at the cost of their own dreams and achievements.

Every once in a while (and especially when faced with challenging situations) it’s a good idea to stop for a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come and what you’ve accomplished.

An occasional acknowledgement of what you’ve endured, mastered and achieved is a great way to remind yourself that ‘if you’ve done it before, you can definitely do it again’.

Whilst all challenges and struggles are different by nature, in essence they all test us and push us to our limits in some way.

By executing the right types of techniques at the right time though, you CAN handle anything that comes your way. And every time you do, know that you are moving onwards and upwards in your life.

So when faced with something new, scary, troublesome or just downright terrifying always remember to…

Inhale… Exhale… apply the 3 techniques above… and then just get on with it!
